Maria Wins Short Story Writing Contest

I won the Totem Head national short story writing contest for the second year in a row.

This year my story was chosen as best overall!

What organization recognized the achievement?

The contest is run by Adventure Write, and is called the Totem Head Writing Contest.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Because I am homeschooled, I have more time to write. Also, because my dad is a homeschooling dad, he sought out the contest to encourage me in my writing.

What are your interests?

My hobbies are reading, writing, art, and playing with my pets.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I would like to be an author.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

I enjoy Spelling and Vocabulary because they help me in my writing.
