Music by Dizon Family Raises Funds for Parish

What did you do?

We three sisters, Isabelle, Danielle, and Maryanelle Dizon, were given a Plaque of Appreciation for sharing our time and talents at a fundraising concert for our parish, Mary Mother of God in Imus, Cavite, Philippines.

With piano accompaniment by our father, Anthony Dizon, we sang our rendition of the song, Give Thanks and Tell the World of His Love, together with the rest of the concert performers. The song was the 1995 World Youth Day Theme Song and the concert was held to raise funds for the building of a bigger parish church to provide more space and seating area for the parishioners.

The highlight of the concert was the inspirational talk and song rendition of His Eminence Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle (Archbishop of Manila). The concert was attended by various people who willingly shared their financial resources.

The Plaque of Appreciation was presented to us by

The Church Council of Mary Mother of God Parish headed by our parish priest, Fr. Teodoro Bawalan.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Through homeschooling, we have received hands-on training from our Dad who is a musician and an artist.

Since we started homeschooling, our Mom handles most of the academic subjects while our Dad takes charge of Music, PE, and Arts. Homeschooling has given us more opportunities to hone our talents and skills and to serve as music ministers in the church with our parents.
