Sarah Wins Scholarship for Her Painting

I have always had a love for art, last year my grandparents helped sponsor me to join an art school. The more time I spent learning how to paint the more I enjoy it.

Currently, I am taking watercolor and oil painting once a week.

What did you do:

I entered two of my paintings in the Annual Young People Exhibition Contest at Ridgewwod Art Institute, I won a full year scholarship for next year with one of my favorite watercolor teachers for one of my paintings, “The Blue Umbrella.”

What organization recognized the achievement?

Ridgewood Art Institute in Ridgewood NJ.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling has giving me the freedom and time to explore different kinds of art.

What are your interests?

Besides painting, I enjoy creating digital art, sewing, and doing any type of work that involves creativity as well as to understand how things are made especially in a factory.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I am hoping to become a graphic designer and inspire others through art to get closer to Jesus.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subjects are art and science. I like science because I love learning about God’s creation and enjoy art classes because it a way that express my creativity.
