Emma Wins 1st Place in Her Age Division of USATF Junior Olympic Cross Country Championship

Despite the extremely cold weather on November 15th in Montavello, Alabama, Emma came in first place for her age division, 9-10 years old, in the Alabama USATF Junior Olympic Cross Country Championship.

She completed 3K in 13:42 minutes. This was her first official race after training for 4 months.

Homeschooling allows Emma the flexibility to fit in training time with her coach as well as being able to take a break from schoolwork to go outside and hit the paths. These much needed breaks allow her to clear her mind and breath in lots of fresh air.
