Angelina is National Champ in Jr. Black Belt Division

What did you do?

I received the National Championship title for Jr. Black Belt Division this year in 3 different divisions; Sparring, Kata and Self Defense. I was also the second runner-up for the National title in Weapons.

I also obtained my Jr. Black Belt II belt this year in Kajukenpo at The Karate Institute in Mentor, OH

What organization recognized the achievement?

PKC (Professional Karate Commission)

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling allowed me the flexibility in my schedule to practice, attend classes and compete in tournaments.

What are your interests?

My interests are competing in tournaments, especially with my weapon of choice, nunchucks. I also love art, swimming and gymnastics.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I’m inspired to be the best person I can be. I love teaching the lower belts at my karate studio and I am involved in their Leadership program. I also feel inspired to take care of all animals.

Whenever we go out, my mom and I always look for animals that might need rescuing.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subjects are Religion, Science and Health.

I love learning about God, the apostles and all of the angels and saints. I love health because mom is a nurse and makes health class interesting.
