Maggie Volunteers to Help New Parents Attend Class

One Wednesday per month, Maggie, a sixth-grader, volunteers as a babysitter at the Women’s Care Center in Fullerton, MD. Her work enables young moms and dads who are clients of the WCC to attend weekly parenting classes.

Maggie’s flexible homeschooling schedule gives her the time to volunteer at the center. She can complete her schoolwork in the afternoon or evening so she can volunteer on Wednesday mornings.

Maggie’s favorite subjects are English and Science.

She loves to play basketball and softball, has played the piano for 4 years, and is considering becoming a nurse.

Maggie is with her brother Peter at home in the photo.
