Lyra Wins Ribbons – Wants to Help Young Riders

What did you do?

I participated in my first horse show and was awarded four ribbons, including Reserve Champion.

What organization recognized the achievement?

The horse show was sponsored by Sandstone Farm.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling is flexible. I can study, go to the barn, and study some more later.

What are your interests?

I love riding horses. It’s a dangerous, hard sport. It teaches me to keep trying and work hard.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I am inspired by the other riders at the barn. They are so helpful to me and have taught me so much. In the future, I’d like to help younger riders by being encouraging, helpful, and kind.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subjects are math and reading. These are the hardest subjects for me. I like hard things because they challenge me.
