Matthew’s Winning Essay Raises Pro-Life Awareness

What did you do?

I won second place in the 3rd-4th grade category in the Culture of Life Studies Program 2019 Pro-Life Essay Contest.

The name of my essay was “The Right to Life.”

I wanted to help preborn babies by raising awareness about abortion by telling people that life is a gift from God and that everyone has a right to life.

What organization recognized the achievement?

The Culture of Life Studies Program

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

I have learned a lot about the pro-life movement from my parents and Seton. My English lessons in writing also really helped me to write my essay.

What are your interests?

I enjoy baseball, archery, reading (my favorites are The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and the Will Wilder and Narnia series). I also enjoy learning about paleontology and petrology and assisting as an altar server at All Saints Parish in Haverhill, MA.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I want to be a paleontologist when I grow up, but I also want to get married and have a family.

What are your favorite subjects, and why?

My favorite subjects are Reading, Art, History, and Science. I enjoy them, and they are usually my best subjects.
