Julia Wins 1st Place in National Writing Contest

I won First Place in the Catholic Schoolhouse National Essay Writing Contest for ages 12-14.

The contest was to write about my favorite Civil War Era figure in history and how their virtue impact their contribution to history.

I was inspired to submit an essay on the Life of Harriet Tubman, a civil war hero who exemplified the virtue of courage by freeing black slaves during her time.

Taking an IEW class has helped me gain confidence and improve my writing skills this year. I also enjoy playing classical piano and singing.
