Patience, Perseverance Help Irie to Her Goals

What did you do?

I won 3rd place out of 14 other swimmers in my very first meet.

What organization recognized the achievement?

ODAC (otherwise known as the Old Dominion Aquatic Club) at Camp Arrowhead in Suffolk, VA, is the swim club I belong to.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

I school during the day and have swim practice three times a week in the evenings. Patience and perseverance help me be the best swimmer I can be.

What are your interests?

Yoga is also something I do daily. I like playing with dolls and going to the beach!

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I don’t know what I want to be yet, but I like animals and swimming.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subjects are science because I like to look at things in different ways and vocabulary because I like crossword puzzles.
