Daelyn Travels Beyond Her Dreams
With a life of international travel and intentionally planning for not only academic excellence but also spiritual and experiential learning, standing on a stage in one of the oldest opera houses in the Middle East was beyond our dreams.
A traditional classroom, bound by rigid schedules and standardized curricula, would not have allowed the hours of preparation, the deep linguistic immersion, or the tailored mentorship necessary to achieve this level of authenticity.
Only through the flexibility and intentional design of homeschooling coaching could my child and I progress from curiosity to competence, from studying a language to embodying it in song before a discerning audience.
What did you do?
We sang in Arabic and Coptic, visited one of the oldest churches in the Middle East, played the piano with an Egyptian professor, and joined an amazing Soccer team for international students.
What organization recognized the achievement?
Cairo Opera House
How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?
Homeschooling gave me and my child the freedom to choose a strategy that suits us, and it provided time to prove that the future of education lies not in confining students, but in freeing them to encounter the world as both scholars and creators. This trip proved it.
What are your interests?
Chess, soccer, music, and learning new languages.
What are you inspired to do with your life?
Become a chef with knowledge of healing food recipes or a musician.
What are your favorite subjects and why?
Reading science and math.
The photo was taken at the Opera House in Cairo. I am the short one with the white hair band in the middle, wearing the fluffiest dress. The rest are members of the Children’s Choir team at the Opera.
