Llya Represented Philippines in the American Cup

I was recently selected to compete in the American Cup in Las Vegas on March 7, representing the Philippines.

What organization recognized the achievement?

The Philippines’ Gymnastics Association, USA Gymnastics Association, and other media outlets are broadcasting this event live on TV and other social media platforms.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Philippines’ Gymnastics Association, USA Gymnastics Association, helped me achieve my goal by allowing me to recognize my sport and adjust and balance my academics and sports more flexibly and productively.

Without homeschooling, my traditional school would have marked me absent and overwhelmed me with unnecessary requirements and assessments, imposed on a schedule that does not meet my needs as a student-athlete.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

To continue doing my sport and inspire others to keep going and work hard for their dreams. As well as being able to connect my gymnastics to a career in the future at a pro level.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subject is theology because it helps strengthen my love and faith in God, helps me understand and learn more about Him, and helps me apply His teachings to my own life.
