William’s Team Wins Soccer Tournament

My Club team and I traveled to Dallas for the 2025 32nd Annual Hurst United Turkey Shoot Soccer tournament and won 1st place.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

I have time to practice and play with 2-5 soccer teams at the same time, year-round, and continue to improve my skills while enjoying and playing the sport I love.

What are your interests?

Besides soccer, which takes up most of my time, I enjoy archery, finding and pursuing good careers, and getting ready for Texas State Technical College.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I plan to attend Texas State Technical College in Fall 2026 and train in their electrical linework and management program.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

Like most students, I don’t have a favorite subject. But the subjects I least dislike would be:

#1. Spanish, because I can put a lot of what I learn to use on the soccer field.

#2. Religion, because I like to learn more about my faith

The photo was taken at HUSA Hurst Community Park – HCP 01 after our last game of the tournament, which we won to take first place.

In the photo are my Club teammates and my club coach on the far right. I am on the bottom row on the far right, and the person kneeling right next to me is both my Club teammate, high school teammate, indoor soccer teammate, and rec teammate…. We play on all the same teams, and if he joins a new team, he tells me about it, and if I join a new team, I tell him about it 😉
