The Justice Ride Moves Lucy to Help the Unborn
What did you do?
I went on a week-long trip called “The Justice Ride.” An amazing experience where teens from all over came together to fight for the unborn.
We traveled to different college campuses in Florida to share with others the evils of abortion and the saving love of Jesus Christ.
What organization recognized the achievement?
The organization that recognized this achievement was Created Equal
How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?
By being homeschooled, I was able to take time to go on this week-long trip without worrying about falling behind.
What are your interests?
My interests are working hard with like-minded people to complete a goal. Seeing young adults my age come together to work for God and neighbor is truly an amazing thing.
What are you inspired to do with your life?
Going on the Justice Ride has inspired me to continue to fight against abortion until it is history. I would love to join the Sisters of Life one day and help encourage mothers to choose life, while showing Jesus’ mercy to those who have not.
What are your favorite subjects and why?
My favorite subjects are British literature and American history. I like literature because the stories that I get to read, such as Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice, are fantastic.
I like American history because I love seeing how our country has changed over the years and how courageous and moral people fought bravely to help shape our country and to end things like slavery.
Looking back to the past on how people had to fight hard for what they believed in gives me hope that this generation, too, can fight hard to save the lives of the unborn so that one day abortion will be history.
The photo was taken at Northside Christian School, Columbus, Ohio. That’s me standing on the very left, with a red hoodie on. Next to me is Ava Helman, and then Riley Abrusci, and then Cody Baker, and then on the far right in the orange is Karissa Hilty.
