Bridget Pitches No-hitter During All-Star Game!
I started Little League when I was 8 and found that I loved it!
I played very well from the start and my coaches kept telling my parents that I had a good chance of playing in college.
What did you do:
I started pitching last year, but really starting pitching seriously last fall. I was the lead pitcher with my Little League fastpitch 10 and under team and I helped my team get to the district finals.
I pitched my first no-hitter during an All-Star game, winning the game 16-2.
What organization recognized the achievement?
Little League Fastpitch 10U
How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?
Homeschooling helped me achieve my goal because I was able to practice pitching to my mom during the day once my schoolwork was done.
If I was in school, I wouldn’t have as much time to practice.
What are your interests?
I LOVE fastpitch softball and play on a select team now. I enjoy my home schooling and love being with my family all day, instead of having to go to school.
I like playing games and puzzle races – there’s a lot of competition in my family. And, of course, I love to play anything softball.
What are you inspired to do with your life?
I am really hoping I can attend college to play college fastpitch. I dream of playing in the Olympics, which may be in California when I am 19.
I hope to get married someday and have lots of children so I can be a wonderful mother.
What are your favorite subjects and why?
Though I would rather be playing outside than studying, I do enjoy reading and religion best. I love to read and learn about our church and especially the saints.
My favorite saint lately is St. Dymphna.
