Bolshoi Ballet Awards Emma Scholarship to NYC Intensive
What did you do?
I was awarded a scholarship from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in partnership with the Russian Americans Foundation to attend their Summer Ballet Intensive in NYC.
What organization recognized the achievement?
The Bolshoi Ballet Academy in partnership with the Russian American Foundation.
How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?
I dance long hours in order to keep up my training, and homeschooling helped me continue my academic goals while achieving my dance dreams.
What are your interests?
I love dancing Ballet and Modern, reading, singing in choir, drawing, playing Roblox with friends, and playing outside with my siblings.
What are you inspired to do with your life?
I want to be part of a major ballet company when I grow up and be able to expose other young children to the arts, but especially ballet. I want to be a role model for other little girls to continue to work hard no matter what they look like or where they may come from.
What are your favorite subjects and why?
I love reading because you feel like a part of the story as you’re reading it. I also love science because you get to ask questions to find the best answer.
Here I am in the photo after a full day of classes at CityDance Conservatory and School at the Strathmore Music Hall in Bethesda, Maryland.
