Briscoe Places 2nd in 4-H Insect Collection Contest

I have been collecting insects for the past two years. I have always had an interest in insects and often read about the ones native to Texas. I am a 4H member, so I thought it would be fun and challenging to do the insect collection contest.

Won 2nd place in Texas 4H Entomology Insect Collection Contest

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

I was able to have more time to catch and preserve insects because of homeschooling since I could run outside my house whenever I saw one. I also had more time to find insects before and after doing school.

What are your interests?

Besides collecting insects, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and helping out with the livestock on our ranch.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I am inspired to have a career in the military for some time and be an airline mechanic.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

I like religion and Spanish because I learn about God and how to communicate with people in another language.
