Lucie’s Opera Brings Home Silver in Music Competition

Lucie’s Opera Brings Home Silver in Music Competition

What did you do?

I won second place with a silver medal for singing opera in a music competition.

What organization recognized the achievement?

The organization is named Festival Clermont-Pépin.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling gave me plenty of time to practice and learn much more about opera and singing in other languages. It also helped me develop independence to start learning Italian by myself.

What are your interests?

I love singing, playing the piano and sometimes the guitar, taking care of farm animals, baking, reading, learning new instruments, jogging, and hanging out with my friends.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I want to be a professional opera singer or a type of zoologist called an ethologist.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

I like French because it is my native language and it is very complicated and interesting. I also really like Science because there is so much to learn in this subject.

The photo was taken in St-Georges, Québec at a cultural center called Marie Fitzbach. That’s me in the middle. The man is the president of the Festival comity, and the woman is the sponsor for the scholarships that were given that day.
