Luke is Accepted at The Juilliard School
I auditioned at The Juilliard School in New York City for the Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance program and was accepted for the fall 2026 semester.
What organization recognized the achievement?
The Juilliard School in New York City recognized my achievement.
How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?
As a homeschooler, I can practice on my home organs at any time and often practice for eight hours per day. I have the flexibility to travel to churches with prominent organs throughout my area for practice sessions, lessons, and recitals.
Having a flexible schedule also allows me to prepare liturgical organ music for Mass and serve as an assistant organist at two parishes in my diocese. The flexibility of homeschooling has allowed me to attend inspiring concerts by such accomplished artists as Olivier Latry, organist of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Seton’s rigorous academic foundation has prepared me to earn a competitive standardized test score and to be a competent writer.
What are your interests?
My interests are music, including pipe organ, Gregorian chant, and Choral music. I also love soccer and gardening.
What are you inspired to do with your life?
I am inspired to serve God as a church organist and enrich His Holy Catholic Church with the best organ music possible.
What are your favorite subjects and why?
My favorite subject is Catholic Apologetics because it prepares me to explain and defend my faith before anyone. I also like math.
