Michael Participates in 4-H Music Project, Wins Championship
What did you do?
I participated in my county’s Music project for 4-H, winning division champion. I then was also invited to play my piece for 4-H night.
What organization recognized the achievement?
Newton County 4-H
How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?
Homeschooling gives me the flexibility to practice throughout the day. It has also helped me develop independent learning skills, which was very necessary this year due to Covid. My piano teacher stopped in-person lessons for the time being, but I was able to learn a new piece of music for the fair on my own thanks to my flexible schedule.
What are your interests?
My interests include running, music, and electronics.
What are you inspired to do with your life?
I am searching for a way to turn my interests into a career that can make the world a better place.
What are your favorite subjects and why?
Science is my favorite subject because it intrigues me.
