Reagan Surpasses Her Swimming Goals

There was no better time to enroll the kids in swim lessons after Grandma and Grandpa installed a pool in their backyard. Reagan began lessons at Level 3 in August 2021, hoping to get into Level 6 to be considered an “Independent Swimmer” within the year.

Reagan graduated to Level 6 Swim Lessons on May 26, 2022, and is officially an Independent Swimmer —well under her 1-year goal!

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

We love to be able to use our flexibility in our homeschool routine to be able to attend activities offered in our area. It is very crowded in the evenings and challenging to get lessons for school-age kids, but with our flexible schedule, we could keep her advancing through the programs and improving her skills on a more regular basis.

What are your interests?

Reagan loves swimming and running, and she is very excited to begin piano lessons this summer/fall.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

Reagan has always been drawn to human anatomy and science. She started this year wanting to be a “bone doctor,” finding she is specifically fascinated with bones. Last summer, we bought her as many anatomy books as possible, and she likes to spend time before bed going over the names of bones and their purpose in the body.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

Currently, Reagan’s favorite subject is Art. She also enjoys music and is very excited to begin piano lessons soon.
