Superior Ratings for George at Music Festival

What did you do?

I received three Superior ratings at the Grove City Music Festival 2025 for playing “Ice Crystals” by Kevin Olson and “Courante in F Major” by George Frideric Handel for piano solo, the third Movement of “Concerto in Classical style” by Martha Mier for piano concerto, and taking a Theory test.

What organization recognized the achievement?

The organization that recognized my achievement was the National Federation of Music Clubs.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling helped me by giving me extra time to practice daily at home.

What are your interests?

My interests besides playing the piano are altar serving at the TLM and Byzantine Catholic churches, making paper and plastic models of planes and ships, reading, and cooking.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

By the example of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, I am inspired to know, love, and serve God, and be happy with Him in this world and in the next.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

History and music are my favorite subjects because history provides important lessons to our time, and music provides a level of beauty that can give us a glimpse of Heaven.
