Oliver Leads Team to CYO Basketball Championship

Oliver led his team to a second CYO summer basketball city championship. His team’s achievement was recognized the San Antonio Catholic Youth Organization.

When asked how homeschooling helped him achieve his goal, Oliver said, “Homeschooling allows me to practice my basketball skills throughout the day.”

Asked about his interests, Oliver told us, “Basketball, soccer, playing video games (Fortnite, Pokémon), playing and collecting Pokémon cards, and listening to music.”

Oliver is inspired to play basketball in college and then in the NBA. When asked what are his favorite subjects and why, he said, “Spelling and vocabulary because I
like to learn new words and their meaning.”

The photo was taken at Mission Concepcion Sports Park. Oliver is pictured here with his Dad, who is one of the coaches as well.
