Robert Wins 3rd Place in Poetry Contest

What did you do?

I won third place in a state-wide (Nevada) poetry contest.

This is my poem:

Stars are big.

Stars are bright.

Stars are big gas balls that shine in the night.

What organization recognized the achievement?

The organization that sponsored the contest was Tahoe Star Tours.

I won four tickets to one of their star tours in North Lake Tahoe.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

I had time to write the poem.

We were also able to take regular trips to our local children’s museum where we learned about the contest.

What are your interests?

Legos, I love to build with them. I love science, especially doing experiments.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I want to be a diver or a marine biologist because I love the ocean.

I also am really interested in space, so maybe an astronaut.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

I love to read cool books. I really love the Bobbsey Twin book series.
