Thomas Wins 1st Place in 400 Meter Freestyle

I qualified to participate in the North Carolina Long Course Age Group Swimming Championship in July 2017.

I placed in the top 5 of 10 of the 11 individual events that I swam. I am especially proud of my 1st place medal in the 400 Meter Freestyle.

What organization recognized the achievement?

North Carolina Swimming awards medals for the top 8 swimmers in each individual event.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

The flexibility of homeschooling allows me to complete my schoolwork and rest after late practices.

What are your interests?

I love to swim and watch superhero movies.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I want to go to the Olympics for swimming.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

I love science, because I enjoy learning about living things.
