Jansen Wins Silver Medal in Karate Tournament

Hello! I am an 11-year-old from the Philippines named Jansen, and I won a silver medal at the 2nd Masanori Takahashi Karate Tournament, held in Lipa, Batangas, Philippines, on March 29, 2026.

What organization recognized the achievement?

The Japan Karate Association recognized my achievement.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling helped me achieve a silver medal in the karate tournament by giving me the flexibility to practice my skills and attend the weekly Saturday karate classes, as well as unlimited 1-on-1 online guidance sessions on Google Meet.

What are your interests?

My greatest interests currently are golf, because, in my experience, one gets great satisfaction when one hits a ball perfectly into a hole, and karate, so I can defend myself when necessary.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

As of today, I am working on making informative and fun videos that tell great stories about travel and interesting trivia on my YouTube channel, Guide to a Brilliant World. I also plan to make a podcast where I talk about my life and a cool cartoon.

But most of all, I feel like my purpose is to stop the spread of this ongoing trend among children called brainrot: highly stimulative and repetitive videos that tend to pull children away from their Catholic faith and ruin their lives. I am even fighting constantly against the endless loop of YouTube Shorts that have these videos. We must stop them from joining this seemingly Satanic cult before babies use an iPad at just 3 months old.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subjects are science, because it teaches me about the world that our loving God has created, and math, because it enables me to think and solve complex problems.
