Keara Places 5th in Ice Skating

June 3, 2017 I skated up a level and landed my axel in competition for the first time.

I landed my axel on-ice for the first time ever 3 weeks ago and wanted to try it in a competition. I placed 5th out of 12 which is great since I’m only 8 years old.

What organization recognized the achievement?

US Figure Skating/Northern Blades 2017 Rising Stars Figure Skating Competition in Blaine, MN.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

I was/am able to train 5-6 days a week 3-4 hours a day.

What are your interests?

Crafts, figure skating, spending time with my family and friends

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I want to make it to Junior Nationals, then on to Nationals and eventually Olympics.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

Science, because I enjoy learning about Nature. Spelling, because I like learning how to spell new words.
