Knights Award Robert for His Good Example

Robert received the Youth of the Month award for setting a good example of Christian values and for serving at Mass and Adoration.

Knights of Columbus, St. Matthew’s Council 1570.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Because he homeschools, Robert can frequently attend daily Mass and also enjoys serving at Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. As a result of his flexible schedule, he is also able to altar serve at funerals during the school day.

What are your interests?

Robert loves animals, running, playing outside with his friends and siblings, and studying traditional skills such as growing medicinal herbs, camping, and building backyard forts with big branches.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

He is considering being a military chaplain, but is still discerning what God has for him.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

He loves studying history and theology. He also loves reading great books. He recently read about Fr. Marquette’s adventures and really enjoyed them, since we live very close to the Mississippi River.
