Lauren Scores Highest at Thunderstruck Competition

What did you do?

I received the highest score in the age 15-19 Advanced Senior Division (including solos, duets, trios, and groups) at Thunderstruck Dance Competition for my solo dance. I started dancing thirteen years ago. Dance is important to me because I can express my emotions through the art of dance.

What organization recognized the achievement?

I danced at Thunderstruck Dance Competition in Milwaukee, WI, and received the highest score overall for the 15-19 advanced senior solos and also the highest score overall for all advanced senior dances.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling helped me to achieve my goal because I have flexibility with my study schedule to be both the best student and dancer I can be while keeping my Catholic faith first and foremost.

What are your interests?

I love dancing, dolphins, taking walks, and spending time with family.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I hope to study dance while in college.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subjects are biology, reading, and theology. I love biology because I learn how my body works. I love reading because I can relax and imagine. I love theology because I always want to learn more about salvation history and how to defend the Catholic faith.
