Seton Students Film and Perform in St. Zita Movie

What did you do?

Hi, my name is Matthew Suess and I helped my sister’s Little Women group film a movie about St. Zita of Lucca. I was the cameraman, and production engineer and did a lot of the editing for the film. You can view it here: https://youtu.be/GGKdo-LVUp0

What organization recognized the achievement?

We recently held a premiere event for the movie, attracting over 150 people.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Most of the kids on this project were homeschooled, which gave all of us a lot of flexibility in scheduling filming dates at great locations. Part of the script was also inspired by a story selection about St. Zita in the Seton Reading 4 for Young Catholics Thinking Skills book.

What are your interests?

I am interested in auto mechanics and cinematography.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I don’t know yet; right now I’m concentrating on finishing school.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

My favorite subject is mathematics because it’s logical.

This photo was taken at the Rosen House, which is part of the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah, NY. I am behind the camera, next to my mom and my sister Maria (barely visible to my left). The actresses in the picture are Vivienne, Kristyn Murphy and Clare Gugliotto.
