With Permission Benedict Receives as First Grader
What did you do?
I was able to receive Jesus in body and soul through First Holy Communion. I asked why I had to wait to receive Jesus when there were many saints I read about who were much younger than me and were able to have Jesus body and soul, yet I had to wait.
I asked my parish priest and he granted permission for me to go home to where my mom’s family lives and make it there. The church I made it in is where both Mommy and Daddy and my big brother made their First Holy Communions too. It is a church rich in history and faith.
What organization recognized the achievement?
St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines MO.
How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?
With a pure heart and thoughtful questioning, I was allowed to make my First Holy Communion as a First Grader.
What are your interests?
I have a deep devotion to Mary and have my own collection of prayer cards and pictures. I love building with Legos and reading. Creating, drawing and painting are lots of fun too.
What are you inspired to do with your life?
When I grow up I want to be a missionary priest or stay home with momma.
What are your favorite subjects and why?
My favorite subject is Religion because I get to hear about Jesus and Mary. Then I like PE because I like to play, run, and climb.
