Liana and Alessandra are Published Authors

In January 2025, my sister and I (Kindergarten and Second Grade) became published authors! We wrote and published a children’s book called “Three Peas in a Pod” with the help of our little brother, who co-authored it with us, and our Mom, who helped with ideas. It’s a fun and meaningful story about kindness, growth, teamwork, responsibility, and veggie adventures. We were so excited to see it come to life, and it is now available on Amazon! We are also working on getting it into libraries and bookstores so more children and families can enjoy it.

As part of this journey, we also launched our very own YouTube channel, inspired by the book! It features our real-life adventures, fun educational book-related content, creative projects, and a special segment called “Seeds of Change”, where we highlight individuals and families who are making a positive difference in the world. Our goal is to inspire kindness, curiosity, and creativity in other children through storytelling and hands-on fun.

Our mission is, “For any negative action, plant a positive reaction.”

What organization recognized the achievement?

So far, we’ve submitted our book for the Creative Caterpillar Achievement award, which celebrates creativity and innovation by young authors and artists. The winners will be announced in June, and we’re very excited and hopeful!

We also sent our very first copies out to the author, Kristi Bradbury, for her to give to school libraries in California that had been affected by the wildfires. We wanted to share hope, joy, and something special with children who had gone through something so hard. This initiative was started by author Kristi Bradbury, who was also our first “Seeds of Change” feature on our YouTube channel. This initiative, “Books Bring Libraries Back to Life,” grew and reached national television news coverage.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling has been one of the biggest blessings in helping us achieve our dream of writing a book. Through the grace of God, we’ve been given this special time to learn and grow together as a family. Each day, we get to read, write, and create with one another. Instead of rushing through lessons, we get to dive into stories, build ideas, and turn our imaginations into something real. Homeschooling has given us the space and support to bring Three Peas in a Pod to life, and we’re so thankful for this time.
