John Wins Scholarship in Respect Life Contest

I was a scholarship winner of the Archdiocese of St. Louis Respect Life Apostolate’s Creative Writing Contest. I was one of 10 scholarship recipients out of over 1,100 participants.

The topic of the essay contest was how living chastely helps one avoid abortion and live a happy, healthy and holy life.

What organization recognized the achievement?

The Archdiocese of St. Louis Respect Life Apostolate sponsored the essay contest for all eighth graders in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Seton English courses and writing assignments have helped me learn to express myself in writing.

What are your interests?

I play the trumpet and have auditioned to be a member of the Community Music School of Webster University in St. Louis. I play lacrosse and basketball and enjoy woodworking and building and airbrush painting models.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I want to serve God and love my family.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

Science and math courses are the most interesting to me.
