Aubrey & Samantha Carry On Family Taekwondo Tradition

Aubrey: I wanted to earn my 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo because I wanted to be able to defend myself. I wanted to be involved in taekwondo because my older brother does it.

Samantha: I wanted to earn my Tiny Tiger Black Belt so I can be stronger.

What did you do?

Aubrey: I earned my First Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo in March

Samantha: I earned my Tiger Tiny Black Belt in March (Tiny Tigers are any children under 7)

What organization recognized the achievement?

ATA (American Taekwondo Association)

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

We were able to practice during our breaks with our siblings and help each other with forms and weapons.

What are your interests?

Aubrey: I like playing card games, crafting, baseball, playing in our creek, playing with cousins, playing my violin.

Samantha: I like to practice my taekwondo forms, playing my flute, crafting, painting, playing in the creek, playing with cousins.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

Aubrey: I’m inspired to be a chiropractor. Taekwondo helps us to set goals and then reach them so that’s why I set the goal to be a chiropractor.

Samantha: I want to be a stay-at-home mom like my mom and homeschool my kids.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

Aubrey: Art because I love crafts

Sam: Reading because I can learn a lot.
