Avery and Madeline Celebrate Six Years in Youth Theater
What did you do?
Sisters Avery and Madeline have been a part of Lifelight Youth Theater for 6 years. This year, as Avery graduates from Seton, she and her sister performed in a MainStage production of The Wizard of Oz. Avery held the lead role as Dorothy and Madeline, performed as a poppy, a munchkin, and a citizen of Oz.
What organization recognized the achievement?
Lifelight Youth Theater
How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?
Lifelight Youth Theater is specifically for homeschoolers, and they hold their classes during the day on Mondays. Avery and Madeline spend their Mondays taking various dance, voice, and theater classes.
Seton allows them the freedom to complete their schoolwork around practices, rehearsals, and tech week, as well as multiple performances and shows throughout the year.
What are your interests?
Both girls love to dance, sing, act, and work with children of all ages.
What are you inspired to do with your life?
Avery plans to attend West Texas A&M University in the fall while majoring in theater education.
What are your favorite subjects and why?
Theater, dance, and voice classes, along with Seton’s religion, morality, and scripture studies, are the girls’ favorite subjects.
