Miranda Earns Eagle Scout – Joins Inaugural Class

What did you do?

I earned the rank of Eagle Scout and am part of the Inaugural class of Female Eagle Scouts

What organization recognized the achievement?

BSA is the organization that recognized my achievement.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling helped me achieve my goal by providing me flexibility in my schedule to accomplish items for rank, awards, and merit badges. I was able to attend opportunities during the day that were difficult for other Scouts.

What are your interests?

My biggest interest is horses. I have been able to work with horses over the last 5 years. My experiences with them have ranged from rescue work to dressage to Western.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I am inspired to work with horses to help people. When the horses are treated well, they have a way of helping people work through personal issues. I want to be part of that.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

Religion and Science are my favorite subjects. I enjoy religion because it helps me to extend my knowledge about my faith and allows me to answer questions when I am asked about my beliefs. I enjoy science because it studies the creation of God and intentionally or not shows how interconnected and planned our world is.
