Savannah and Ayden Place 1st and 2nd in Science Fair

What did you do?

Savannah and Ayden Merideth both helped set up and entered the local Homeschool Science Fair in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.

What organization recognized the achievement?

They were recognized by the local newspaper, The Pine Bluffs Post, for placing first and second in their age group of the Fair.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling gave us the opportunity to include the Homeschool Science Fair as part of our curriculum for the year. The flexibility of homeschooling made it possible to do the projects in a timely manner and not be stressed about having to complete all the work after a day at school. It let my kids learn and relate what they did to the real world and how this type of work can benefit them in the future.

What are your interests?

Savannah is interested in makeup and did her science project on homemade lipstick. Ayden is interested in the more visual reactions and did an experiment with Exploding Toothpaste.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

Savannah and Ayden both are still deciding what to be when they grow up but are enjoying the chance to experience different things now to help them decide when they are older.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

Savannah and Ayden both enjoy subjects such as art, music, physical education, reading, religion, and science as they like hands-on learning, a good book, and learning our faith.
