Michele Awarded Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition Scholarship

Michele was just awarded the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition Scholarship by the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair. The evening was celebrated with a dinner and award ceremony where the selected recipients were recognized. It has been a wonderful senior year. Michele is also a National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar, and has been given a full scholarship from Florida International University, which she will be attending in the fall.

Homeschooling, specifically homeschooling with Seton, has helped Michele achieve her goals because it has given her not only the time to pursue her interests, but also the ardent love of learning necessary to achieve high goals. Seton’s rigorous curriculum has truly prepared her for her future educational endeavors.

Michele’s interests include ancient and invented languages, music, reading, writing, art, animal rescue, and animal and music therapy. She loves all of the subjects that she has studied with Seton.

Michele hopes to become a combined speech and music therapist, drawing on her experiences with both linguistics and music to better understand the correlation between the two processes.
