William Wins at 4-H with Shooting Sports Speech

William competed in the 4H area demonstration speech and won first place in the shooting sports category. He will be competing at the state level in a few weeks.

William says, “Homeschooling through Seton helped me achieve my goal through rigorous writing requirements and allowing me to have the time to work on and polish my speech.”

When asked about his interests and inspiration, he said, “my interests include reading, math, soccer, and Boy Scouts.’

He continued, “I would like to be able to use my abilities in reading and communications in the future.

We asked about his favorite subjects and why they are his favorites, and he told us, “my favorite subjects are reading because I enjoy almost any topic and math because I enjoy working through problems.”

The photo was taken at Woodlawn Elementary school after William won the area demonstration speech on his topic of Firearm Basics.
